Malta offers
a variety of different forms of entertainment. Searching for a bitof an adrenaline rush, one should take the trip to the center of the island. Conveniently placed close together, surrounding the national football arena, we find an amusement park, a clay pigeon shooting ground, paint ball games and go carting. All the ingredients of a great day out.
The go- carting upholds a good standard, although take no notice that they some times sweep fragments of clay pigeon from the track. Otherwise it's good fun, and if bringing friends along, a great way of having some friendly competitive racing against each other in a grand prix.
For more laid back easy going entertainment, there's always the cinema. Films are fairly new, and if you're lucky, you might catch a Maltese produced one as well.
On a more fun note, don't be surprised if the film comes to a sudden stop. As common cinema standard is a break during the movie. Regardless of length.
Find yourself in Malta during the summertime, a short trip up north in between Buggiba and St. Julians a small, but cozy water amusement park towers up on the coast line.
Taking the trip further up north, you'll find the way to the Popeye Village. Somewhat a step back in time to when Robin Williams brought Popeye the Sailor to life. The movie set was build for this occasion, and is still standing as a historical amusement park.
